THE ART OF THE FALLEN

Character design is a source of joy for me, focusing on emotions and vibes that resonate with the narrative. Inspirations come from personal interests and the client's story, giving uniqueness to each design. Playing RPGs gives me continuous practice in character creation. Here are examples of some of my best characters, created for a story full of adventure and challenges!

SMRÄŒAK

Smrcak, the son of a goblin tribe leader, has always been an outcast due to his lack of physical strength and his insatiable thirst for knowledge. Cast out from his tribe, he has spent his life seeking solitude and understanding the world around him. Unfortunately, he contracts a mysterious disease that gradually transforms him into a nature entity, merging his being with the essence of mushrooms and trees. Set on a quest to find a cure, he encounters a diverse array of characters who challenge his preconceived notions about life and relationships. As he forms deep bonds with his newfound comrades for the first time, Smrcak grapples with his sleazy, fake confidence and his disdain for the simple-minded, ultimately discovering the power of connection and understanding in a world he once sought to escape.

LICHINKA

Lichinka represents the latest generation of a family burdened by a powerful curse placed by his great-great-grandfather, a sorcerer who sought immortality. Each descendant carries the weight of their ancestors' memories, which Lichinka experiences firsthand, granting him both wisdom and torment. At 25, he battles against a fate dictated by the curse: the relentless desire to revive the sorcerer embedded within him as a "bug." This malevolent force threatens to take control of his body if not satisfied by his 30th birthday. Lichinka’s journey is not one of ambition for immortality, but rather a desperate quest to find a way to break free from the cycle of control and oppression. With each step, he navigates the shadows of his ancestry while forging his own identity and path toward liberation.

URIELE

Urielle and her sister, both orphaned at a young age, are shaped by the tragic loss of their mother, a worker wronged by life. After witnessing her brutal death at the hands of a 'new client,' Urielle vows to seek justice for the injustices that plagued her family. As she travels, she channels her rage into a mission to spread the teachings of her god, aiming to offer hope to those who have suffered. Yet, the path is fraught with inner turmoil; Urielle struggles to maintain her composure while battling her consuming anger. At times, her righteous fury spills over, leading her to confront those she deems corrupt with aggressive fervor. This duality highlights her ongoing battle between vengeance and the desire to embody the principles she preaches, creating a complex character driven by both passion and purpose.

TENKO

Tenko's journey is one of survival and transformation, born from a life of hardship and betrayal. Raised in poverty, his life takes a dark turn when his father, struggling with addiction, sells him to the richest man in town. Initially welcomed into a seemingly luxurious world at the man’s castle, Tenko soon discovers the horrific practices of the local doctor, who cruelly experiments with poisons and medicines on his workers. Despite the darkness surrounding him, Tenko finds solace in the kindness of a maid who becomes a mother figure, teaching him compassion and warmth he never knew. Her tragic death at the hands of the doctor ignites a fire within him, leading to his rebellion. In a desperate bid for freedom, he crafts a striking bunny cape from the skins of dogs that once hunted him, symbolizing his struggle against oppression. Tenko ventures into a twisted world with a unique blend of innocence and determination, driven by the hope of one day liberating his village from the tyranny that binds it.

Special: Boss

A design for the main boss of a small, upcoming game. Inspired by big games such as Sekiro and Elden Ring, this woman is an evil cross over between a beautiful, stunning woman and a centipede. The boss has 2 phases, which each phase having various designs created for by me. She's supposed to be grotesque, scary but beautiful.

OTHER

Alongside these characters, many others have been crafted, either for personal projects or in collaboration with clients. The process of character creation flows naturally, perhaps because these characters often feel like the closest companions I have. Each design is an exploration of personality and story, reflecting the intricate relationships I build through art.
